- You can save time upon arrival by completing advance procedures through “Visit Japan Web”.
- If you intend to bring certain medications into Japan, please consult the official websites of the Japanese authorities for guidance.
- Your passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in Japan. It does not necessarily need to have more than six months’ validity remaining at the time of entry.
- A Japanese single-entry visa is generally valid for three months. You must enter Japan within three months from the date of issue.
- In addition to holding a visa, you will be granted landing permission upon entry into Japan. The validity of this permission depends on the length of your intended stay.
- The Immigration Services Agency created videos for the daily life orientation based on “Guidebook on Living and Working” so that foreign nationals can join Japanese society smoothly!.

- The Japanese immigration authorities can now issue the Certificate of Eligibility (CoE) in electronic format. Where applicable, holders of an electronic CoE are permitted to submit their visa application by presenting the email with the attached CoE. - Two new residence statuses, titled "Highly Skilled Professional Visa" (J-Skip) and "Future Creation Individual Visa" (J-Find), have recently been established. For more information, please refer to:
