Business Visa

Documents Required

1. 1.
   Passport

   • Original valid passport (plus a photocopy of the identity page showing the holder's signature)
   • Please ensure that your passport contains at least two blank pages
2. 2.
   ID Photograph

   • One passport-sized photograph (35mm × 45mm), taken within the past six months, unedited
   • Scanned or printed photos are NOT acceptable
   • For nationals of the former USSR: two ID photographs are required
3. 3.
   Visa Application Form

   • The signature must be handwritten and match the one on your passport, or if unavailable, on your residence permit. This also applies to minors.
   • For nationals of the former USSR: two visa application forms

   Residence Permit

   Flight Information

   • A reservation or e-ticket for travel to and from Japan
   • If you have not yet purchased your flight tickets, please provide your flight details with a screenshot from the airline or booking platform

   Company Letter of Assignment

   • An original letter from your employer, stating the purpose and duration of your business trip and confirming the company will cover your expenses

   If the business trip is fully or partially self-funded:

   • Bank statements from the last three months
   • — or —
   • Payslips from the last three months

   Certificate of Employment

   • The certificate must state your length of employment, annual salary, and job title
   • It must be issued on company letterhead and signed by an authorized person

   Invitation Letter

   If the inviting entity in Japan will partially or fully cover your expenses, it must also provide:

   • Letter of Guarantee
   • A copy of the Certificate of Company Registration (法人登記簿謄本), or a document detailing the Company/Organization Overview (会社・団体概要説明書). If the guarantor is an individual, a Certificate of Employment can be submitted instead.
